Dr Norman Sjoman returns to Coventry!


A set of seven weekend events:
Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of March 2019
Holyhead Studios, 16 Lower Holyhead Rd, Coventry CV1 3AU

The Art of Yoga – exposition by a top specialist in the field, Dr Norman Sjoman. This will be the fourth and possibly last tour of Europe for our dear friend and teacher. A rare opportunity to learn from a true master, don’t miss this!

There will be three Asana (posture) led classes, two Pranayama (breath control) sessions and two interactive lectures exploring ‘The Art of Yoga’:

Friday 1st March, 6:30-8:30pm:
Led Asana class with a short talk at the end, including Q&A

Saturday 2nd March, 10:00am-5:00pm:
10:00am-12:00noon – led Asana class, focus on inversions –
technique work on head stands, shoulder stands, etc.
12:00noon-1:30pm – lunch break, please bring a light (vegetarian) lunch –
salad, fruit, etc, or you can pop out to a local café. Herb teas will be provided.
1:30-3:00pm – led Pranayama session,
various breath control techniques
3:00-5:00pm – Lecture – the experiences in yoga and how they relate to creativity and art.  That means comparison to spiritual disciplines related specifically to yoga. Q&A at the end

Sunday 3rd March, 10:00ma-5:00pm:
10.00am-12.00noon – led Asana class, focus on back bending,
various techniques, suitable for all levels.
12:00noon-1:30pm – lunch break, please bring a light (vegetarian) lunch –
salad, fruit, etc, or you can pop out to a local café. Herb teas will be provided.
1.30-3.00pm – led Pranayama session, deepening…
3.30-5.00pm – Lecture, the Indian aesthetic theories on art including
Dr Sjoman’s own take on the saivic sutra from the tattvaprakasa
Q&A at the end

Fees for the Events:
Please see below fees for the classes and workshops. The programme has been so constructed as to enable you to pick and select according to your interests, time and funds availability.
No session/class will be the repeat of any other, each will have an individual content, and tuned to the attending group’s needs.
Multiple bookings attract discounts, as the table below shows, and these will have priority over single session bookings.
Highly recommended for all serious yoga practitioners and teachers. Certificate of attendance available on request.
