TEACHER TRAINING WORKSHOPS

DYNAMIC YOGA PRIMER (‘DYP’)

ASRAM YOGA CENTRE, BUDAPEST

30-31 July, 1 August 2011, two sessions daily

10-12.30 and 1.30-4.00

The Dynamic Yoga Primer (DYP) is a derivative of the First Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. It has been developed as an ‘undercoat’ for learning any dynamic yoga style, such as Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, etc.

This workshop is primarily for those who want to learn to teach the DYP sequence, but will be suitable for all teachers and students who want to deepen their understanding of the dynamic yoga styles.

We will explore the DYP from the Teacher’s perspective, asking the following questions:

  • what is the essence of a dynamic yoga style?
  • what are the key components of the DYP ‘technology’?
  • what is the Teacher’s role in a dynamic class?

Basic theory will be covered, but main focus will be on practical work:

  • generating deep heat throughout the body
  • Asana and Vinyasa variations to suit individual abilities and aspirations
  • observing, instructing, adjusting each other as we travel through the DYP sequence

Regarding costs and bookings please enquire at the Asram Yoga Centre, you can see their website visiting: http://www.jogakozpont.hu/joga/english.html

Thank you.
